Commuter Resources

Specifically for students who commute

Students who commute to Point Park’s campus in Downtown Pittsburgh approach school differently than students who live on campus — from arranging for transportation and parking to needing a locker, knowing where to eat and finding a place to relax before, after or between classes.

Basically, any student not living in a Point Park residence hall is considered a commuter student, whether you are a:

  • traditional-age student living at home or off-campus
  • adult student living off-campus
  • graduate student

If you’re commuting to classes at Point Park, you'll need to know the options for getting to campus, from driving to biking to using mass transit.

Visit our Transportation and Parking page for details on all the options.

As a commuter, you obviously don't live on campus (though it may feel that way some days). You may be on campus enough, though, that you'll find you need things while you're here, such as a place to relax, lockers to store your stuff and quick access to food/snacks.

If you're living on your own (or just in Pittsburgh) for the first time, check out our Renter's Guide for tips and resources for this new experience. We'll get you started with questions to ask your landlord and what to find out about your new neighborhood, then get into the nitty-gritty of what your lease means.  We'll also provide you with the resources to engage in your community.
